Paterson police arrest suspected dealer with 2,300 packets of heroin in Broadway bust

Police arrested 23-year-old Ricardo Murdock seizing 2,312 glassines of heroin and $1,144 in cash on Tuesday evening, according to police director Jerry Speziale.
Murdock was arrested in the area of 324 Broadway, said the director. He said detectives from the Narcotics Division conducted an investigation in the area after receiving “numerous complaints” of drug activity and people hanging out.
Speziale said Murdock was arrested at about 8 p.m. The alleged dealer resides at the apartment complex at 324 Broadway, said the director.
Murdock was charged with three drug offenses. He is also accused of resisting arrest and destroying evidence.
“Detectives worked diligently and tirelessly in successfully making the arrest and removing drugs from the streets,” said the director. “I applaud their patience and efforts.”
