9 candidates running for 3 Paterson school board seats

Nine people are running to fill three seats in Paterson’s school board race scheduled for November, the Passaic County Clerk’s Office said on Monday afternoon.
Incumbents Jonathan Hodges and Chrystal Cleaves are running while Lilisa Mimms has opted not to seek re-election.
Challengers are Fannia Santana, Andres Scott, Sebastian Mejia, Joel Ramirez, Joyed Rohim, Juan Kivelier Sosa, and Kenneth Simmons.
A former school board member, Simmons lost his seat last year.
Election is scheduled for November 7th, 2017.
