Eight people were displaced on Saturday afternoon after a fire damaged their Sheridan Avenue house, according to the American Red Cross.
Fire at 100 Sheridan Avenue was reported at around 3:05 p.m. Firefighters saw flames on the second floor of the two-story building.
Flames were under control within 30 minutes. Two firefighters sustained injuries at the fire scene, according to a fire official.
The eight inhabitants or two families displaced by the fire have been provided emergency assistance including temporary lodging.
