Paterson police seize marijuana, semi-automatic handgun in Plum Street drug bust

The city’s narcotics detectives arrested two men and seized a semi-automatic handgun from a drug bust on Plum Street, according to police director Jerry Speziale. Both city residents also had six bags of marijuana or 97 grams.
Angel Santiago, 32, of Plum Street, and Edwin Jimenez, 21, of Totowa Avenue, were arrested last Monday when police raided 81 Plum Street. Santiago lives on the second floor of 81 Plum Street.
Santiago allegedly had a semi-automatic Colt .25 caliber handgun. He was charged with two weapons offenses and four drug charges, according to police.
Jimenez was charged with four drug offenses. Both men had drug paraphernalia, said police.
