Paterson woman among three arrested with 12 pounds of marijuana

A woman and two men were arrested with 12 pounds of marijuana, according to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office.
Sashagaye Brown, 31, of Paterson; Kevin Marsh, 39, of Poughkeepsie, New York; and Dale Smart, 38, of Poughkeepsie, New York, have been charged with marijuana possession with intent to distribute.
Detectives targeted Brown after receiving information she was distributing large quantities of marijuana in Bergen County. Brown, Marsh, and Smart were in Hackensack on Friday when detectives conducted a motor vehicle stop.
Police seized 12 pounds of marijuana from the vehicle’s trunk. Brown, Marsh, and Smart were placed under arrest.
Authorities said the vehicle also had a young girl. Police transported the girl to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and later handed her over to her mother, authorities said.
Brown was charged with child endangerment. All three were released on summonses pending court hearing on December 27, 2017.
