A city man seeking treatment for a gunshot wound on Saturday night has been charged with hindering apprehension, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.

Jacques Mills, 29-year-old, sought treatment for a non-fatal gunshot wound at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center at around 11:48 p.m., authorities said.

Police did not release information as to how or where Mills was wounded. An initial investigation of the case led to charge of hindering apprehension or prosecution against Mills, authorities said.

Authorities continue to investigate the non-fatal shooting.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Paterson Police Ceasefire Unit at 973-321-1342.
