A lucky customer of the Q & L Food Market on 5th Avenue won the winning $794,544 Jersey Cash 5 jackpot from Monday’s drawing, according to the New Jersey Lottery.

A store clerk said the ticket was sold on Monday. The winner matched all five numbers. The winning numbers were 09, 13, 17, 24 and 39 and the XTRA number was 03.

“We are thrilled that the winning jackpot ticket was sold at Q & L Food Market. The retailer will receive a bonus check for $2,000 for selling the winning ticket,” John M. White, acting executive director of the New Jersey Lottery, said on Tuesday morning. “Overnight, they have become one more ‘lucky location’ for the very fortunate lottery winner.”

The store at 226 5th Avenue in Paterson previously sold winning scratch off tickets, according to a store clerk.

White said there were 764,215 tickets bought for the drawing. For correctly matching four of the five numbers drawn, 118 ticketholders won $550 each and 19 others won $1,650 each with the addition of XTRA, according to the state lottery. By adding XTRA, for an additional $1.00 per play, winners are able to multiply their non-jackpot prizes by the XTRA number drawn.

For correctly matching three of five numbers drawn, 5,142 ticketholders won $14 each and 773 others won $42 each with the addition of XTRA. 8,812 ticketholders each won $2 for correctly matching two of the five numbers drawn with the addition of XTRA on their purchase, according to the state.
