Sheriff: Two arrested, 1,900 bags of heroin, loaded gun seized in Paterson raid

A two-month long drug investigation yielded two arrests, 1,910 glassine envelopes of heroin, a handgun, and 182 bullets, according to Passaic County Sheriff Richard Berdnik.
Raheem T. McCoy, 41, and Rajon Leftwich, 25, were arrested in a raid at 28 Plymouth Road at around 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, authorities said.
Both men were allegedly dealing drugs from the location. Detectives observed the two men exit the house and engage in street-level drug sales.
Leftwich was quickly arrested during the raid while McCoy was found hiding in the bedroom. A third man, Joshua A. Martinez, 20, was detained and later placed under arrest for outstanding warrants out of Saddle Brook and Paterson.
Martinez was wanted for $758 in Saddle Brook and $550 in Paterson, authorities said.
Detectives confiscated $935 in suspected drug money, a loaded M&P .22 pistol, and two gun holsters. An assortment of ammunition was confiscated as well. 73 .22 caliber rounds, 83 .380 caliber, 26 .9mm bullets, authorities said.
McCoy admitted the firearm belonged to him. Authorities charged him with four drug offenses and one weapon possession without permit.
Leftwich was charged with four drug offenses.
Both are being held at the Passaic County Jail.
