Paterson woman hit by car on Broadway

A city woman was hit by a vehicle in the intersection of Broadway and East 23rd Street on Tuesday night, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.
Adelaida Vega, 43, of Paterson, was struck by a Honda Civic. Police were called to the scene at 6:30 p.m. on report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.
Vega suffered serious injuries and was taken to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center for treatment.
The driver of the vehicle, Christine Sanchez, 27, of Passaic City, remained at the scene. She did not suffer any injuries, authorities said.
Authorities have not said whether Sanchez has been charged with any offenses.
