Paterson police arrest two in Main Street drug bust

The police arrested two people and seized more than 100 bags of heroin during a raid at a Main Street house on Monday, according to police director Jerry Speziale.
Jose S. Amaro, 58, and Erik Hernandez, 20, both of Paterson, were arrested during the raid at 421 Main Street.
Amaro was charged with loitering to commit a drug offense.
Hernandez was charged with possession of 124 glassine envelopes of heroin, intent to distribute, intent to distribute 1,000 feet of School 3, and possession of 1 knotted bag of marijuana, police said.
