Teague: People want me back on the school board

Throughout the city of Paterson there’s been an echo. It started out as a whisper back in 2016, then it grew to a chant in 2017 before eventually becoming a clarion call in 2018. People want me back on the school board.

My years of advocacy work speaks for itself. Having served a full term as both a local school board member and as an executive member of the Passaic County School Boards Association, I am completely equipped to hit the ground running the second I’m elected.

I’m no stranger to the New Jersey Department of Education nor am I unfamiliar with the State House. I’m a regular at city, county, state and federal meetings. When it’s time to roll up my sleeves and get to work that’s exactly what I do.

The school board needs a fighter, an advocate, someone who isn’t afraid to tell it like it is, hold folks accountable, and keep the administration on their toes. That person is me. Y’all know it’s me. You’ve seen my work. You’ve made it clear on many occasions. You want me to have a seat at the table. I’m perfectly satisfied with that.

But there is one thing we must if this is to become a reality. We all need to get to the polls and vote on Tuesday, November 6th, 2018! Voting is what will make this happen. Bring me back and I won’t let you down.
