Paterson police arrest four in Governor Street drug bust

Four people were arrested and hundreds of bags of heroin was seized in a drug bust at a Governor Street house, according to police.
Lawrence Simmons, 61, of Paterson; Desyiah N. Leak, 22, of Garfield; Anthony S. Herring, 35, of Paterson; and Gregory Potts, 60, of Paterson, were charged with various drug offenses.
Police raided 191 Governor Street on Monday, seizing 255 glassine envelopes of heroin, 1 baggie of crack cocaine, under 50 grams of marijuana, and an air powered pistol.
Simmons, Leak, and Herring were each charged with nine drug offenses for possession, distribution, and unlawful possession of a weapon.
Potts was charged with possession of a single bag of crack cocaine, police said.
