The city’s firefighters put out two fires overnight, including one that displaced 12 people, said deputy fire chief Pablo Del Valle.

First fire was at 1010 East 27th Street. It came in at about 7:44 p.m. on Friday. Flames were extinguished within 30 minutes.

Del Valle said the fire was in the basement of the building.

Second fire was at 9-11 Arlington Street. It came in at about 12:54 a.m. on Saturday. Fire was between the first and second floors.

Fire reached second alarm, said the deputy chief. 12 occupants were displaced from 9-11 Arlington Street. Residents self-relocated, he said.

Del Valle said fire was brought under control within an hour.

There were no civilian or firefighter injuries at the fires.

Firefighters battled the flames at 13-degree temperature.

Cause of both fires remain under investigation.
