Paterson fire displaces 21 people from East 27th Street house

A fire at a house on East 27th Street displaced four families or 21 people on Monday morning, according to the American Red Cross.
Fire was reported at 957 East 27th Street at around 11:26 a.m. Firefighters observed flames in the basement and smoke coming out of the first floor of the 2.5-story building. Fire was quickly extinguished.
Displaced residents were provided temporary lodging, food, and clothing by the American Red Cross.
