A city man who arrived at Saint Joseph’s Medical Center early Sunday morning seeking treatment was not injured in a shooting, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.

The victim, 24-year-old, was not a victim of a gunshot wound, authorities said on Sunday evening. He had arrived at the hospital at 3:30 a.m.

There was no evidence of gunfire in the area of Market Street and Lakeview Avenue, authorities determined following an investigation.

Authorities did not release any other information about the incident. The investigation remains active and ongoing, authorities said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Prosecutor’s Office at 1-877-370-PCPO or [email protected] or the Paterson Police Ceasefire Unit at 973-321-1342.
