Paterson firefighters extinguish three house fires overnight

Firefighters put out three fires in different parts of Paterson on Monday night into Tuesday morning.

Four people were displaced in the fires. No firefighter or civilian injuries were reported, said deputy fire chief Pablo Del Vale.

First fire was reported at 6:47 p.m. on Monday at 428 East 36th Street. Upon arrival, firefighters observed fire in the first floor and began to spray the flames.

Two people were displaced due to the fire, said the deputy chief.

Second fire was reported at 1:14 a.m. on Tuesday at 484 East 26th Street. Firefighters observed flames on the first floor extending into the second.

Two people were displaced from the single-family home.

Third fire was reported at 3:02 a.m. at a 156 Fair Street. Firefighters responded to the vacant three-story structure to find the building’s third floor had caught fire. A video of the incident shows flames expanding from the top floor.

Del Vale said cause of all three fires remain under investigation.
