Hometown football star Mike Adams is holding a raffle to give 25 teachers $200 each to spend on supplies for their classrooms.

Teachers will have to spend the dollars at the Dollar Tree on West Broadway. Deadline to enter the online raffle is end of day Sept. 10, 2019. Names will be drawn the next day. Winners will get an email and have 24 hours to respond.

“Every year I like to do something during back to school for the kids of Paterson,” said Adams. “This year I decided to see how impactful it would be to give back directly to the teachers. I’m excited to be able to help where I can.”

Adams’ nonprofit organization the Team Adams Foundation is conducting the raffle.

“Anything someone does to help a Paterson teacher benefits a Paterson student,” said superintendent Eileen Shafer. “We greatly appreciate everything that Mike Adams, his Team Adams Foundation and the Dollar Tree store have done to help our teachers and enhance our students’ classroom experiences.”

Teachers will get an email to enter in the contest, according to the district.
