A city drug dealer was sentenced to 25 years in federal prison on Monday, according to U.S. Attorney Craig Carpenito’s Office.

Reinaldo Rodriguez, 30-year-old, had been convicted of conspiracy to distribute a kilogram or more of heroin and possession with the intent to distribute heroin after a four-day trial before U.S. District Judge Susan D. Wigenton in April.

Wigenton imposed the 25-year sentence at the Newark federal court on Monday. She also sentenced Rodriguez, also known as “Memo” and “Killa,” to six years of supervised release.

From June 2015 through April, 20, 2016, Rodriguez took part in a conspiracy to deal heroin to street-level drug dealers in the Paterson area. Conspirators got heroin from a supplier in Bronx, New York that was stamped “Goosebumps,” “Transformers,” “Wendy’s,” and “New Jack City.”

Rodriguez delivered the stamped bricks of heroin to a confidential source while under surveillance. He was also heard discussing drug tracking on court-authorized wiretaps, authorities said.
