Paterson girl killed in Route 19 crash

A city teenager was killed in a motor vehicle crash on Route 19 South on Friday morning, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.
The 17-year-old girl, identified by her initial C.D., was operating a 2009 Mitsubishi Galant that collided with a 2009 Peterbilt Roll-off container truck.
The container truck was being operated by Gregory Macheska, 55, of Nutley.
Authorities said the 17-year-old and her three juvenile passengers were taken to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment.
C.D. died at 12:50 p.m. Two of the passengers suffered serious injuries, authorities said, and were admitted for treatment.
No charges have been filed. Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
