Fire displaces five people from 16th Avenue house

A single-alarm fire displaced five people from their 16th Avenue house on Thursday afternoon, said deputy fire chief Andrew Ricciardi.
Firefighter responded to the blaze at 78 16th Avenue at 5:06 p.m., said the deputy chief. Municipal records show a two-family property at the site.
The deputy chief said there were no reports of civilian or firefighter injuries.
Displaced residents are being helped with temporary lodging by the American Red Cross.
Cause of the fire remains under investigation, said Ricciardi.
