Seven arrested, drugs, weapon seized in Paterson bust

The police arrested seven people, seized drugs, and a handgun during a bust on 17th Avenue, according to public safety director Jerry Speziale.
Patrick Gallagher, 30, of Haworth; David Sahagian, 25, of Lodi; Richard Windt, 55, of Clifton; Jason Ferdinand, age unknown, of Paterson; Traci Durham, 51, of Park Avenue; Charles Watson, 52, of Clifton; and Eustice McGuire, 54, of Paterson, were each charged with various drug offenses on Friday.
Gallagher, Sahagian, and Windt were each charged with heroin possession, police said. Ferdinand, Durham, Watson, and McGuire were each charged with drugs and weapon possession.
Police seized 3 bags of marijuana, 54 glassine envelopes of heroin, 55 vials, 1 bag, and 1 straw of crack cocaine, police said.
Police recovered a Beretta Model 92F 9mm handgun.
Speziale said police conducted the investigation that led to their arrest in the area of 17th Avenue and East 28th Street after receiving numerous complaints from neighborhood residents.
