A bar in South Paterson had customers gathering and drinking inside in violations of emergency orders on Tuesday, according to the New Jersey State Police.
Police charged Elizabeth Fernandez, 56, of Woodland Park, and Juan Rosario, 60, of Paterson, with two violations of the emergency orders for opening Quilvio’s Bar and Liquors at 933 Main Street.
Quilvio Montesino, owner of Quilvio’s Bar and Liquors, said Fernandez, the administrator for the bar, told him the business did not have a cigarette license at hand. He was surprised when told police cited the two people for violating emergency orders for allowing people to gather and drink at the bar.
“I didn’t know,” said Montesino. “That’s real bad.”
