Paterson coronavirus cases increase to 4,276; police issue 57 summonses for Covid-19 violations

The number of people tested positive for the new coronavirus increased by 138 to 4,276 on Monday, according to municipal government data.

Number of deaths from Covid-19 increased by eight to 138, according to data.

Meanwhile, police issued 57 summonses on Saturday and Sunday to people falling to abide by orders put in place to curb the transmission of the virus.

Police dispersed people in five streets on Saturday. Six more street gatherings were dispersed on Sunday.

Paterson has the largest outbreak of the virus in Passaic County.

Passaic County has 11,349 cases with 438 deaths. Overall, New Jersey had 111,188 infections with 6,044 fatalities on Monday.
