Mayor Andre Sayegh is expected to announce the opening of four coronavirus testing sites throughout the city.

Sites will screen both symptomatic and asymptomatic residents with drive-thru and walk-up options.

Residents will need to provide proof of residency. Sites will provide testing to residents, with or without insurance, free of charge.

Sayegh will make the announcement on Wednesday afternoon. He has been under sustained criticism for failing to open a government-run testing site early on in the pandemic. Last week, Sayegh announced two non-governmental testing sites in the Eastside and South Paterson.

Paterson has the biggest virus outbreak in Passaic County with 5,701 infections and 271 deaths.
