2 people wounded in separate Paterson shootings

Two people were wounded in separate shootings in Paterson overnight, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.
Authorities said a 26-year-old man and a 34-year-old man were struck by gunfire. Both suffered non-fatal injuries.
The first shooting took place on Jefferson and North Main streets at around 11:30 p.m. on Saturday. Police responded to the area, but could not locate a victim. Police were later advised the 26-year-old victim arrived at Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center seeking treatment for a non-fatal gunshot wound.
The second shooting took place on East 23rd Street at around 1:25 a.m. on Sunday. Police located evidence of a shooting, but no victim. Later police were advised the 34-year-old victim arrived at Saint Joseph’s Health Wayne Medical Center seeking treatment for a non-fatal gunshot wound.
