1 killed, 1 hurt in Paterson shooting

A city man was killed and another was wounded in a shooting on Hospital Plaza late Wednesday afternoon, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.
Police said Brian Olivio and David Torres, both 20 years old, were struck by gunfire outside 73 Hospital Plaza at around 5:38 p.m.
Both victims were rushed to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center.
Olivio was pronounced dead at the hospital. Torres is in stable condition, authorities said.
The latest incident brings the total number of people shot in Paterson since Sunday to eight.
