A Paterson man has been charged for allegedly threatening to infect officers at the Passaic County Jail, according to authorities.

Dominique Wilson, 26-year-old, has been charged with terroristic threats during an emergency, aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, and throwing bodily fluids at an officer.

On May 24, Wilson, an inmate at the jail, did not want to return to his cell after using his allotted phone time, authorities said. When Passaic County Sheriff’s officers repeatedly told him to pull up his mask, he shouted, “You are all going to die anyway and I don’t give a [expletive].”

Wilson then lowered his mask and coughed on the door handle of a cell they were approaching. Authorities said he later lowered his masked and intentionally coughed in the direction of an officer.
