Paterson man killed in 15th Avenue shooting

A city man was killed in a shooting on 15th Avenue on Sunday night, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.
Police identified the deceased as Wahneem Combs, 34-year-old.
Police responded to report of a shooting at 331 15th Avenue at around 9:31 p.m. Officers found the victim inside the residence with an apparent gunshot wound.
Combs succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Seven people, including Combs, were shot over a violent weekend. The six other victims suffered non-fatal injuries.
Combs is Paterson’s fifth homicide in 2020. Last year, Paterson had 19 homicides.
