The police arrested two people and seized 16,150 glassine envelopes along with $10,060 cash in a drug bust on East 18th Street, according to public safety director Jerry Speziale.

Jeramy Lozano, 27, of Paterson; Deserie Silva, 25, of Paterson; and James Saunders, 51, of Saylorsburg, Penn., were arrested on various drug charges.

Police observed Lozano leave the first floor of 489 East 18th Street on Tuesday. He allegedly met Saunders to conduct a drug sale.

Saunders left the area in a vehicle and was pulled over. Police seized 6,000 glassine envelopes of heroin.

Police then raided Lozano and Silva’s apartment at 489 East 18th Street. Police recovered 10,150 glassine envelopes of heroin, 24 baggies of crack cocaine, and drug paraphernalia.

Police also recovered $10,060 cash in the bust.

Lozano and Silva were each charged with 13 drug offenses. Police said the pair maintained a drug production facility that had a fortified entrance.

Saunders was charged with four drug offenses, police said.
