A city man was killed in a shooting on Rosa Parks Boulevard late Saturday night, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.
James Timmons, 42-year-old, was found lying in the street with apparent gunshot wounds at around 10:45 p.m., authorities said.
Police officers on patrol of the area heard gunfire and responded to 70 Rosa Parks Boulevard to find the victim.
Timmons was rushed to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center. He died from his injuries at around 11:11 p.m., authorities said.
Five people have been shot in Paterson since Friday. Four victims suffered non-fatal gunshot injuries, authorities said.
