A 29-year-old Paterson man and a 43-year-old Belford resident were struck by gunfire at around 5:40 p.m. on Hamilton Avenue and Auburn Street.

Police located the 29-year-old victim at the scene suffering from a gunshot wound. He was rushed to Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center for treatment. A short time later, police were notified that the second victim had arrived at the hospital seeking treatment for a gunshot wound.

Both victims sustained non-fatal injuries, authorities said.
