Paterson police arrest two, seize 359 bags of heroin in Marshall Street drug bust

A man and a woman were arrested in a drug bust on Marshall Street on Wednesday morning, according to public safety director Jerry Speziale.
Evelyn Garcia, 58, and Carlos Rodriguez, 47, both of Paterson, were charged with various drug offenses.
Garcia was charged with five drug offenses and Rodriguez was charged with three drug offenses, police said.
Police seized 359 glassine envelopes of heroin in the bust at 65 Marshall Street at around 7:50 a.m.
Garcia allegedly sold 109 bags of heroin to Rodriguez.
Police confiscated $167 in suspected drug proceeds from Garcia.
