An Elmwood Park man was arrested in Paterson on Tuesday evening in possession of 3.6 pounds of marijuana and $6,032, according to public safety director Jerry Speziale.

Bryan R. Medina, 28-year-old, has been charged with four drug offenses. Police set up surveillance in the area of East 15th Street and 7th Avenue after receiving reports of drug dealing.

Police observed Medina drive to the area at around 7:15 p.m. An unidentified suspect approached his vehicle and reached inside to allegedly engage in a hand-to-hand drug sale. The unidentified suspect was observed examining what appeared to be drugs.

Police did not say if the unidentified suspect was arrested.

Medina drove out of the area and was pulled over on East 18th and Fair streets. His vehicle smelled of marijuana.

Police seized 36 plastic baggies, 12 jars, and 4 marijuana edibles along with the cash.

Medina was arrested and taken to police headquarters for processing.

I guess the cops kept the other 10,000 as a finder's fee

I appreciate the police taking dealers off the streets. Attempting to keep their bullshit away from decent people trying to raise families is a good thing.
