Long Branch man wounded in Paterson shooting

A man from Long Branch was wounded in a shooting on North 8th Street in Paterson on Friday evening, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.

The victim, 41-year-old, was struck by gunfire in the area of North 8th Street and Belmont Avenue in Paterson. He flagged down a Haledon police unit in the area of Henry Street and Lee Avenue in Haledon at around 7:08 p.m.

Police rushed the victim to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment. He suffered multiple gunshot wounds, authorities said.

The victim’s injuries are not fatal.
