Passaic City man wounded in afternoon shooting in Paterson

A Passaic City man was wounded in a shooting in Paterson late Tuesday afternoon, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.
The victim, 23-year-old, was struck by gunfire on Summer Street and Broadway at around 4:50 p.m. He arrived at Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center seeking treatment for a gunshot wound.
Police said the victim’s injuries are not fatal.
The Passaic City man is the second person shot in Paterson in the past 12 hours. Another victim was shot a block away on Hamilton Avenue and Summer Street at around 3:54 a.m.
