A woman died in a five-alarm fire on Summer Street early Sunday morning, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.

Authorities identified the victim on Sunday night as 53-year-old Felicia Hernandez De La Cruz. She died at the scene of the massive fire, authorities said.

Fire broke out at 489 Summer Street at around 1:44 a.m. Fire quickly extended to 487, 491, 493 Summer Street and one structure on Chestnut Street, authorities said. Authorities said all the buildings involved in the fire were two-story residential buildings with walk-up attics.

Authorities said 40 residents were displaced after the fire. Two firefighters were injured and had to be treated at Saint Barnabas Hospital in Livingston. Their injuries were minor, authorities said.
