A city man has been arrested for allegedly selling and storing child pornography files on the cloud, according to Passaic County Sheriff Richard Berdnik.

Yzaiah D. Gimenez, 22-year-old, was arrested on Tuesday after a nine-month long investigation. Authorities began investigating after finding numerous video files of child sex abuse were stored in several online cloud-based accounts.

Detectives identified a suspect, locating him in a residence in Paterson. Gimenez was allegedly the suspect responsible for uploading the files to the cloud accounts. His residence was raided and several cellphones belonging to him were seized.

Gimenez’s phone had other videos and images of child pornography, authorities said. Detectives discovered “several indicators” that Gimenez, who is unemployed, was selling child pornography files.

Detectives continue to go through his wireless devices.

Gimenez was charged with six counts of second-degree distribution of child pornography and a single count of third-degree possession of child pornography. He is being held at the Passaic County Jail pending a court hearing.
