Five people were wounded in a shooting on 12th Avenue early Sunday evening, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.

Four city men – 25, 29, 28, and 24 — and a juvenile – 17 — were wounded when gunfire erupted on 12th Avenue and Carroll Street at around 6:24 p.m.

Police located three victims, the 25-year-old, 17-year-old, and the 29-year-old, in the area of Carroll and Harrison streets. Police rushed them to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment.

A short time later, police were advised the 28-year-old and the 24-year-old men arrived at the hospital seeking treatment for gunshot injuries.

The 24-year-old is in critical condition. The rest of the victims are in stable condition, authorities said.

The investigation remains active and ongoing, authorities said. Anyone with information is asked to call the Paterson Police Ceasefire Unit at 973-321-1342.
