A man has been arrested for allegedly distributing files of child sexual abuse on social media, according to Passaic County Sheriff Richard Berdnik.

Devin L. Ramos-Artigas, 26-year-old, of Paterson, has been charged with distribution of child pornography, maintaining child pornography, and possession of child pornography. He was arrested on Thursday, authorities said.

Ramos-Artigas exchanged several direct messages with another person on social media. Both parties exchanged videos of child sexual abuse, authorities said. Authorities seized devices from his residence as part of the investigation.

This is not the first time Ramos-Artigas was caught with child pornography. On January 2017, Ramos-Artigas was convicted for possession of child pornography. He was placed on parole supervision for life. He violated conditions of his parole and was later sentenced to one year in prison.

Ramos-Artigas was released from prison in January 2020.

Ramos-Artigas is being held at the Passaic County Jail, authorities said.
