Paterson: Man shot 9 times dies in hospital

A man with multiple gunshot wounds, who was dropped off at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center early Saturday morning, has died, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.
Police were advised the victim arrived at the hospital at around 5 a.m. He was dropped off by individuals in a private vehicle. He was rushed into the emergency room for treatment, but succumbed to his injuries.
Authorities said the victim suffered 9 gunshot wounds.
The identity of the victim and the circumstances and location of the shooting are still under investigation, authorities said.
