Newark man killed in Paterson shooting

A man from Newark was killed in a shooting in Paterson early Saturday evening, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.
Jose Figueroa, 21-year-old, was found lying on the ground with apparent gunshot wounds on Totowa and Redwood avenues in Paterson at around 6:57 p.m.
Figueroa was taken to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment. He was later pronounced dead.
Nearly seven hours earlier, a 44-year-old Paterson man was grazed by a bullet inside a residence at the same intersection.
