Paterson man arrested for allegedly sexually abusing 14-year-old girl

A city man has been arrested for allegedly sexually abusing a 14-year-old girl, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.
Edwin Paradis, 20-year-old, was arrested on Friday on charges of sexual assault, endangering the welfare of a child-sexual conduct.
Authorities said Paradis was allegedly engaging in sexual intercourse with the victim for one year, including at locations in Paterson. She was 14-year-old when the sexual conduct commenced, authorities said.
Paradis could face 15 years in state prison if convicted on the charges. He is being held at the Passaic County Jail.
