Five people hurt in Paterson drive-by shooting on Rosa Parks Boulevard

Five people were injured in a drive-by shooting on Rosa Parks Boulevard on Wednesday night, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.

The victims, four men – 31, 37, 36, 37 – and one woman – 27 –, all residents of Paterson, were struck by gunfire on Rosa Parks Boulevard and Hamilton Avenue at around 9:25 p.m.

Police believe the victims were at the intersection when a vehicle arrived and an occupant began firing shots.

Police located two victims suffering from non-fatal gunshot wounds at the scene. They were taken Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment for treatment. The three other victims got themselves to the hospital by private vehicles to seek treatment for non-fatal gunshot wounds.

Authorities continue to investigate the incident. Anyone with information is asked to call the Paterson Police Ceasefire Unit at 973-321-1342.
