Former three-term councilman Aslon Goow has been appointed to the Paterson Parking Authority board.
Members of the City Council unanimously approved his appointment last Tuesday.
“Councilman Goow served the 2nd Ward for 12 years. He has served with dignity, honesty, and with passion,” said councilman Shahin Khalique, who nominated Goow for the appointment.
Khalique said Goow will bring the same qualities to the Paterson Parking Authority.
“I’m excited. I appreciate the fact that the council gave me an unanimous vote. I think I bring some experience — I have a good understanding of how the city government works with the Parking Authority,” said Goow.
While on the City Council, Goow served as the chairman of the Statutory Agencies Committee, which oversees municipal agencies, including the Paterson Parking Authority.
