Paterson police arrest three people, seizing cocaine and stolen handgun in Jersey Street bust

The police arrested three people, seizing cocaine and a stolen handgun during a bust on Jersey Street, according to public safety director Jerry Speziale.

Jonathan Delgado, 25, of Paterson; Diego Obregon, 59, of Garfield; Pedro Ramirez, 46, of Paterson, were arrested on various drug charges.

Delgado was charged with numerous drug charges and weapons offenses. Obregon was charged with drug possession. Ramirez was charged with loitering to commit a drug offenses.

Delgado was observed conducting a drug sale with Obregon at 67 Jersey Street on Monday. Delgado then entered an address on Jersey Street while Obregon drove out of the area.

Obregon was pulled over and found in possession of two baggies of powder cocaine.

Detectives continued to watch Delgado. A second vehicle drove onto Jersey Street and Delgado got out of the residence to conduct a drug sale. Police interrupted the sale and arrested both Delgado and Ramirez.

Delgado allegedly had 60 baggies of powder cocaine and $303 cash. He also had a .380 Feg Army handgun in his vehicle that was parked in the area.

Delgado is being held at the Passaic County Jail pending court proceedings.
