Paterson police arrest 14 in Godwin Avenue bust, seize laser sight weapon, 800 bags of heroin

The police arrested 14 people in an operation on Godwin Avenue on Friday night, seizing a handgun fitted with a laser sight and an assortment of drugs, according to public safety director Jerry Speziale.
Police arrested three alleged dealers and 11 buyers. Detectives identified the trio of sellers — a 16-year-old boy; Mike Jones, 29; and Pedro Santiago, 52 – using 52 Godwin Avenue as their base to deal drugs in the area.
Detectives stopped 11 of their buyers after observing hand-to-hand drug transactions. They charged Emanuel Aliotta, 37, of Pompton Plains; Randy Flemming, 27, of Pompton Plains; Klaudio Mazi, 33, of Lodi; Crystal Greene, 29, of Bloomingdale; Mark Picinich, 45, of Paterson; Amira Adem, 30, of Clifton; Carlos Woodley, 55, of Paterson; Ike Torres, 31, of Daniah, FL; Ricardo Cruz, 30, of Paterson; Emanuel Rodriguez, 33, of Paterson; and Richard Depinto, 30, of Pequannock, on drug charges.
Police then returned for the three alleged dealers. Santiago and the teen were arrested without an incident, but Jones tried to flee into the apartment.
Police raided Apartment #2 at 24 Godwin Avenue. They seized 811 glassine envelopes of heroin, 26 vials of crack cocaine, 420 grams of marijuana, 14 Xanax pills, and $1,894 in suspected drug proceeds.
Police also recovered a 9MM Taurus handgun with large capacity magazine fitted with a laser sight.
