Paterson man killed girlfriend before taking his life, authorities say

A city man shot and killed his girlfriend before shooting himself on Monday morning, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.
Julius McCutcheon, 34, and Chacquese Barnes, 33, both of Paterson, were found dead inside 162 Redwood Avenue at around 7:45 a.m.
Police responded to the address on report of a shooting. Police believe McCutcheon shot and killed Barnes. He then took his own life.
