Paterson woman killed in East 24th Street shooting

A woman was killed in a shooting on East 24th Street on Thursday night, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.
Jasmin Wel, 25, of Paterson, was struck by gunfire in the area of 661 East 24th Street at around 8:18 p.m.
Police arrived on report of a shooting and found Wel suffering from gunshot wounds. She was taken to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment.
She was pronounced dead at the hospital, authorities said.
