A man has been found guilty of multiple charges relating to the sexual abuse of two children.

Antwan Campbell, 40, of Paterson, was convicted by a jury of aggravated sexual assault, two counts of second-degree sexual assault, and two counts of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child on March 23, 2023.

The case began on February 11, 2019, when the Paterson Police Department contacted the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit to report allegations of sexual abuse made by a seven-year-old child and an eleven-year-old child against Mr. Campbell. Detectives from the Prosecutor’s Office subsequently interviewed multiple witnesses, including the child victims, who reported being sexually abused by Campbell on different occasions between November 2018 and February 2019 at their home in Paterson.

Campbell’s sentencing is set to take place on July 13, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. before judge Sohail Mohammed. He is currently being held at the Passaic County Jail pending sentence and faces 25 years to life in New Jersey State Prison.
