Two wounded in downtown Paterson shooting

Two people were wounded in a shooting in downtown Paterson at approximately 4:07 p.m. on Wednesday, according to police.
Authorities said a 56-year-old female victim from Clifton and a 35-year-old male victim from Paterson were located at the scene near Broadway and Main Street. Both victims were transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment of non-fatal gunshot wounds.
Police identified a potential crime scene in the area. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Paterson Police Shooting Investigation Unit at 973-321-1342.
